Libya - Idemia Idemia have released cards based on F.code gen 2 which is based on the same chip and sensor that Zwipe use in their ZPO platform. re:Raketenforscher Card manufacturers that base their cards on Zwipe ZPO will be able to sell their cards to the bank at approx. 10 USD. Zwipes part in a card are 3-4 USD depending on what the card manufacturer want to include. Some will buy the whole solution while others will buy only specific components. Zwipe have said that they will reach break even at 6 million cards annually, and when that statement was delivered the turn around was approx. 6 MUSD, so that will mean approx. 1 USD profit/ card. Ich habe mich gerade kurz mit dem Unternehmen beschäftigt. Weiß jemand wie viel eine Karte ca. kosten soll? Ich habe Informationen zu Partnerschaften gefunden und wie viele Karten ca. hergestellt/ausgeliefert werden sollen, aber keine Angaben zum ungefähren durchschnittlichen Verkaufspreis pro Karte bzw. den Herstellungskosten gefunden, um den zu erwartenden zukünftigen Umsatz/Gewinn schätzen zu können. Zumindest eine Größenordnung wäre hilfreich

Nice to see that you have a forum for Zwipe in Germany too. I suppose it will grow dramatically once people starts to understand where Zwipe is heading with their to date 24 partnerships. Those partners already today ships around 1,2-1,3 billion payment cards. That is a great potential market for Zwipe... Looking forward to what the trialing Tier-1 card manufacturer will do with Zwipes technology. The evaluation should be finished late this year. I firmly believe that the Tier-1 is Giesecke+Devrient. The NXP solution they have used so far will not be suitable for mass production, and there is not many other alternatives than Zwipe ZPO when it comes to really efficient solutions. Fingerprint Cards are working on their partnership with STM, but that probably will end in Thales lap IMHO. Good luck.
