The consensus EPS Estimate is -$0.02 (+91.7% Y/Y) and the consensus Revenue Estimate is $139.73M (-11.1% Y/Y). Over the last 2 years, UPST has beaten EPS estimates 75% of the time and has beaten revenue estimates 75% of the time. The company, which had benefited greatly in 2021 due to fiscal stimulus, high demand for loans, and lower lending rates, is now facing some challenges. In its second quarter, the company had seen loans originated from its lending partners fall 64% to 109.4K, as compared to last year, mainly hurt by rising interest rates that hampered loan generations. Stock Info, however, added it is not all that bleak for the firm. "Even though the macro outlook is uncertain, we believe Upstart Holdings has the potential to become a 10x in the next decade," Stock Info added. In October, SA contributor Michael Wiggins De Oliveira, also stuck to a positive note for the fintech company, saying it believes that the firm's AI-driven lending platform positions it for significant growth and profitability. "Despite substantial recent challenges, Upstart's efforts to streamline operations and improve its balance sheet demonstrate a resilient and improving business model," Oliveira added. UPST's peers OneMain (OMF) had beaten its estimates for Q3 Non-GAAP EPS and reported revenue in line, while FirstCash (FCFS) had beaten both its third quarter bottom and top line market views.
