The $TSLA growth story is officially over:
4Q deliveries:
- 20% YoY growth, or the lowest since 2Q20 (i.e., the height of the pandemic)
- ~$450mn cash burn from inventory build
- production ahead of sales (for 6th out of last 7 qtrs)
- BYD sold more BEVs vs. $TSLA as some $TSLA models lost full tax credit Jan 1
- This underlines WHY the Cybertruck is a mistake (i.e., the EV mkt needs cheap cars)

With the $GM Chevy Bolt being the only US EV under $40k to qualify for the $7500 credit. It will make a huge dent in Model 3 SR sales in ‘24. With credits from Colorado, a loaded Bolt will cost just $20k!! $TSLA

On this new yr, fresh reminder BYD sells more than EVs
It also has BYDE - phone/tablet EMS, iRobot, PCs & motorcycles
BYD New Energy - Solar, ESS, Illumination, new material & semiconductor, entirely global business
BYD Rail - Mostly Skyrail, transport BYD employees on campus & various public transportation
It also has Fudi motor, Fudi battery, Fudi Tech, Fudi precision work & Fudi Vision -> Full EV & new energy supply chain
BYD's auto suppliers are always nervous bc BYD might replace them w/ internal product next
So next time someone tells you Tesla is worth 8x more, because it's an "AI company".
Remind them of all this + BYD having 90000+ researchers developing everything & applying AI along the way
Calling yourself an AI company means nothing
Having products that showcase AI mean something

The files contain a section that's called "Used Count as New".
They also have a ticket order signed by Elon Musk asking to take out a redundant chip from the steering wheel in order to save money, knowing it would mean anyone who bought FSD would need a recall.
