Currently completing a feasibility study together with AVL for potentially industrializing a heavy-duty truck FC module which utilizes TECO 2030 100kW stacks.

TECO 2030 gab letztes Jahr bekannt, dass es den 5-Millionen-Euro-Zuschuss für sein wasserstoffbetriebenes Tankprojekt HyEkoTank abgeschlossen hat.
Das Projekt wird null Emissionen am Liegeplatz nachweisen und könnte bis zu 60 % der Treibhausgase (THG) während der Fahrt reduzieren. Das Unternehmen glaubt, dass es ein „First Mover“ 😊 im Seeschifffahrtssektor werden und zu den EU-Klimazielen beitragen könnte.

HyEkoTank: Start of new Horizon Europe project Hydrogen PEM fuel cell system retrofit to make marine transport more ECO-friendly 30.3.2023 13:01:15 | TECO 2030 ASA
A 36-month EU funded project aiming to develop technology to retrofit a 2.4 MW fuel cell system and swappable hydrogen storage onto a Bitumen carrier.
Eight project partners from three European countries (Norway, Sweden and Netherlands) got together in Lysaker, Norway, to launch the HyEkoTank project and discuss the procedures that the consortium will follow during its implementation period as well as the work to be carried out the upcoming period. The HyEkoTank is a project funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme with a lifespan of thirty-six months.
About the Project
HyEkoTank consortium has identified the need of optimised hydrogen fuel cell solutions for maritime applications. The consortium was built to merge key knowledge and experience in hydrogen, fuel cells and the maritime industry and propose a solution to cost-effectively retrofit fleets to significantly reduce their GHG emissions.
HyEkoTank project intends to develop and in 2024 install a retrofit solution to transform the existing fleet and accelerate the achievement of climate neutrality of both sea-going and inland waterway waterborne transport. The proposed solution comprises:
1) A standardised and easy-to-integrate 40ft ISO container including a 2.4 MW fuel cell system, hydrogen fuel gas conditioning, air filtration systems, power converters, battery storage and automation system.
2) A containerised, 350 bar, compressed hydrogen storage with 4000 kg capacity with type approval to perform hydrogen refuelling by swapping of containers using cranes.
Besides that, the project will support the delivery of other relevant results, namely:
3) A feasibility assessment and a model to optimise the hydrogen supply chain to ports
4) Concept designs to standardise the technology to be easy to install in any ship independently on its operations.

(Lysaker, Norway, March 23rd 2023) TECO 2030 (OSE: TECO, OTCQX: TECFF, ISIN: NO0010887516) has signed an MOU with an undisclosed party for cooperation on several fuel cell projects which in total could represent 50MW of fuel cell output. The projects represent marine fuel cells- and on-shore stationary fuel cell systems in megawatt scale. The MOU outlines a 3-year cooperation commitment to successfully execute the project objectives.
Fuel cells are hydrogen engines which generate electricity through a mechanism that doesn’t require combustion. This means they produce fewer pollutants than conventional, combustion-based power generation technologies. Fuel cells are also highly efficient, producing more power per unit of fuel. As a result, fuel cells offer an alternative to traditional power generation with significant health, reliability, and environmental benefits.
“I am thrilled to have signed this MOU with an undisclosed party. This shows the trust and confidence the party has in our fully *** and modular fuel cell systems. I am looking forward to work with our client on these projects to cover their zero emission energy needs,” says Tore Enger, Group CEO, TECO 2030. “Both the marine and stationary applications for these projects are in megawatt size and will demonstrate the capabilities of the TECO 2030 fuel cell systems,” Enger concluded.
