Third Bridge analyst Charlie Miner said Salesforce’s earnings were a “total mess” and cited an uninspiring growth narrative and deceleration in margin growth as being behind the stock reaction.
“While Salesforce remains the undisputed leader in CRM and application software, its growth story, now driven by modest price hikes and drawn-out cross-sells, clashes with its desire to be viewed as an inspiring, nimble software leader ready to capitalize on a tremendous AI opportunity,” Miner added.
D.A. Davidson analyst Gil Luria said in a note Thursday that the company was being “crowded out by AI.” He maintained a Neutral rating on the stock but lowered his price target to $230 from $300. However, he noted that underlying positives, including strong demand for its core products, gave management increased confidence in sticking to its full-year revenue guidance.
Some analysts remained bullish on the stock, though, despite the disappointing earnings. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives described the report as a “small bump in the road into a stronger growth trajectory.” He has an Outperform rating on the shares and a $315 price target.
“We would be buyers on weakness this morning as seeing the forest through the trees this is a turnaround in motion for a premier tech stalwart with a massive installed base led by one of the best CEOs in the global tech landscape,” Ives said in a note Thursday.
Raymond James analyst Brian Peterson said the 15% after-hours selloff was “overdone,” and reiterated a Strong Buy rating on the stock with a $325 price target. Bin mit gestern Abend mal bei etwas unter 198€ mit einer kleinen Position rein. Legt man die avisierten $10 EPS zu Grunde, ist das KGV inzwischen recht attraktiv.

Schwierige Frage, zumal an der Börse ja selbst eine faire Bewertung keine Sicherheit für steigende Kurse bieten muss. Ich hoffe mal, dass mein EK 177€ nicht erreicht wird und dass das kommende schwache Quartal ein Ausreißer ist. Denn bei dauerhaft nur 8% Wachstum ist ein KGV von 65 viel zu hoch. Da wären max. 40 als KGV angebracht. Dann wären wir aber bei Kursen um 125€.
Wenn du aber nur aufs KGV schaust dann hättest aber bei EK177 auch nicht kaufen dürfen, weil damals war das KGV bei mehren hundert. Aber das das Wachstum min gehalten oder gesteigert werden sollte wäre kein Fehler wenn wir hier etwas verdienen wollen :-). Forward KGV für 2025 ist lt. Marketscreener 35,6/ mittlers Kursziel 306€ also genug Luft nach oben, aber auch hohe Fallhöhe falls das Wachstum einbricht. Ich habe bei 200€ aufgestockt, die Zeit wird uns die Richtung zeigen :-)).

Ich habe auch lernen müssen das es oft falsch ist früh am Morgen zu kaufen.
Bin aktuell zu 25% investiert und hoffe das ich stark genug bin um mit den nächsten Käufen noch zu warten.

Ich würde bei enttäuschten Erwartungen mit einem Einstieg mindestens 3-4 Handelstage warten. Der erste Tag ist meistens erst der Anfang vom Abverkauf. Machen wir uns nix vor: bei einem KGV von 65 für 2024 ist ein Wachstum von 8% viel zu wenig. Salesforce ist selbst jetzt noch teuer. Zumal das Wachstum in 20 Jahren nie unter 10% gelegen hatte. Ich ärgere mich, vor den Zahlen nicht die Hälfte verkauft zu haben. Ich habe EK 177€ und von über 100€ Gewinn sind nur noch 20€ übrig.
Ich habe es auch bereut, dass ich nicht zu verkauft habe, bei wieviel euro findest du salesforce fair?
