'On the Windows side, OEMs like Lenovo, HP Inc HPQ, and Dell Technologies Inc DELL are significantly expanding their AI-capable PC portfolios. Lenovo introduced its first Snapdragon X-powered PCs, driving a 228% sequential increase in AI-capable PC shipments. HP launched new AI-focused models, boosting its AI-capable PC share within Windows shipments by around 8%. Dell followed suit with AI-powered devices capturing nearly 7% of its Windows shipments. Intel and AMD are also making significant strides in the AI-capable PC market. Intel has committed to shipping chips for over 100 million AI PCs by 2025, including over 40 million in 2024. JPMorgan analyst Harlan Sur expects AMD to grow data center GPU revenue by over $5 billion in fiscal 2024 as it continues to win market share from Intel in server and PC CPUs. JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee expects Qualcomm’s PC-related revenue to climb from $300 million in 2024 to $3.7 billion in 2027.' https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/08/40347392/apple-intel-and-amd-lead-charge-in-ai-capable-pc-market-surge-report?utm_source=MarketWatch&utm_campaign=partner_feed&utm_medium=partner_feed&utm_content=site&mod=mw_quote_news

AI PCs made up 14% of quarterly personal computer shipments, Canalys says 16:27 13/08/2024 Aug 13 (Reuters) - AI PCs accounted for 14% of all personal computers shipped in the second quarter with Apple leading the way, research firm Canalys said on Tuesday, as added artificial intelligence capabilities help reinvigorate demand. WHY IT'S IMPORTANT PC providers and chipmakers have pinned high hopes on devices that can perform AI tasks directly on the system, bypassing the cloud, as the industry slowly emerges from its worst slump in years. These devices typically feature neural processing units dedicated to performing AI tasks. Apple commands about 60% of the AI PC market, the research firm said in the report, pointing to its Mac portfolio incorporating M-series chips with a neural engine. Within Microsoft's Windows, AI PC shipments grew 127% sequentially in the quarter. The tech giant debuted its "Copilot+" AI PCs in May, with Qualcomm's Snapdragon PC chips based on Arm Holdings' architecture. Struggling chipmaker Intel also ramped up deliveries of its AI PC chips, according to the report, hoping to capitalize on the push towards producing AI-capable devices. The introduction of AI PCs is also driving growth in the premium segment, with shipments of Windows PC priced over $800 range growing 9% sequentially. Lenovo's <0992.HK> AI PC shipments grew 228% sequentially, representing about 6% of its total Windows PC shipments in the June quarter. AI PCs accounted for 8% of HP's Windows shipments, while Dell had just below 7% of its Windows shipments represented by AI PCs. "With a strong foundation now set, AI-capable PC shipments are poised to gain further traction in the second half of 2024," said Ishan Dutt, principal analyst at Canalys.

In den vier Jahren, in denen ich investiere, habe ich noch nie den Einfluss rechtlicher Aspekte auf eine amerikanische Investition erlebt.

The New Laptops Are Here, and They Don’t Have Intel or AMD Inside By Bill Alpert Published: July 9, 2024 at 5:18 p.m. ET The new AI-optimized PCs run on Qualcomm chips. Photo: David Paul Morris/Bloomberg Beware Intel. The CoPilot+ laptops shown in May at Microsoft’s artificial-intelligence rollout are now on store shelves. These AI-optimized PCs run on Qualcomm chips, and they could give the company its first real shot at the computer processor market. CoPilot+ laptops can be had for $1,000 and up, from a variety of manufacturers that include Microsoft, Dell Technologies, HP , Acer, Asus, Lenovo, and Samsung. They have been publicized for their hardware chip that accelerates AI-applications like Microsoft’s CoPilot, but until AI apps come into widespread use, they’ll be more prized for their long battery lives. The main processor in all these laptops is the Snapdragon X Elite, which is a team effort. The Qualcomm chip uses circuits licensed from Arm Holdings, which runs Microsoft Windows while draining less battery power than chips from Intel or Advanced Micro Devices . With over 16 hours of activity from a charge, the CoPilot+ PCs can compete with the ultramarathon battery life of an Apple MacBook. An obstacle to adoption of PCs running Arm-based processors has been the limited catalog of Windows applications optimized for the chips. That catalog has grown, but is still missing some popular apps from publishers such as Adobe Systems. The speed of the Snapdragon still enables it to get decent performance from many non-optimized applications. https://www.marketwatch.com/articles/copilot-pc-microsoft-qualcomm-intel-amd-1317c229?mod=mw_quote_news_seemore
