The time has come for policy to adjust. The direction of travel is clear, and the timing and pace of rate cuts will depend on incoming data, the evolving outlook, and the balance of risks.
We will do everything we can to support a strong labor market as we make further progress toward price stability. With an appropriate dialing back of policy restraint, there is good reason to think that the economy will get back to 2 percent inflation while maintaining a strong labor market. The current level of our policy rate gives us ample room to respond to any risks we may face, including the risk of unwelcome further weakening in labor market conditions

Er hat einfach nur am Anfang gesagt das wir jetzt aktiv werden müssen.... Und dann die Historie wie die Inflation 2022 gestiegen und jetzt auf einem akzeptablem Niveau gekommen ist. Sonst nichts.

Der Vorsitzende der Federal Reserve der Vereinigten Staaten, Jerome Powell, sagte auf dem Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium am Freitag, dass es "guten Grund" gibt, zu glauben, dass der Arbeitsmarkt stark bleiben wird, da die Inflation auf das Ziel von 2 % fällt.
Powell sagte, ein Schlüsselfaktor bei der Eindämmung der Inflation ohne einen starken Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit sei die Umkehrung der pandemiebedingten Probleme, einschließlich "Verzerrungen von Angebot und Nachfrage" und Energie- und Rohstoffmarktschocks.
