Vielleicht hilft das hier, hab's mal zusammenfassen lassen: Neometals's strategy has shifted towards a royalty model due to customer feedback, with no investment in customer SPVS. The company is expected to receive substantial surplus cash from battery recycling Primobius in late FY24E and FY25E. However, Neometals's equity participation in VRP1 is expected to drop, reducing future cash flows and NPV. The company reported cash and investments of A$44.7m as of 30 June 2023, with a cash outflow of A$4.5m in the quarter. The company is now looking to bring in new equity investors to the SPV, targeting a reduced shareholding/carry on the project. The valuation of new equity investors in VRP1 is difficult to estimate and will subject to significant negotiation as the project nears FID. The economic analysis model suggests that VRP1 could accommodate a cost increase of A$102m and still provide an attractive unleveraged post-tax project IRR of 15.0%. A likely low-ball valuation would be around A$20m for a profitable and environmentally friendly project.

Am oberen Ende der Skala, d. h. bei 102 Mio. USD, würde der Anteil von Neometals auf etwa 17,8 % verwässert. Am unteren Ende der Skala, bei 20 Mio. USD, würde der Anteil von Neometals auf ca. 4,3 % verwässert werden. Unser Mittelwert impliziert eine Bewertung von 61 Mio. US$ und eine daraus resultierende Beteiligung von Neometals an VRP1 von 11,05 %.
Primobius-Barausschüttung wahrscheinlich Ende GJ24E und GJ25E Unsere Modellierung für Primobius zeigt, dass das Unternehmen wahrscheinlich im GJ24E gesund profitabel und im GJ25E hoch profitabel sein wird. Wir gehen davon aus, dass die JV-Struktur einen Mechanismus vorsieht, bei dem überschüssiges Kapital an die Eigentümer ausgezahlt wird, was sowohl im späten GJ24E als auch im GJ25E am wahrscheinlichsten wäre. Wurde das Niveau der Ausschüttung von überschüssigem Kapital beispielsweise auf 20 Mio. USD festgesetzt, würde die in dieser Mitteilung modellierte Performance eine Rückzahlung von 4,5 Mio. USD an Neometals im GJ24E und 8 Mio. USD im GJ25E bedeuten. Unsere Prognosen basieren auf einem minimalen Finanzierungsszenario, das keine Investitionen in Stelco oder andere SPVs, einschließlich VRP1, voraussetzt. Mit einer aktuellen Cash-Runway bis ins GJ25E, Cash-Überschüssen, die fast sicher von Primobius im GJ25E, wenn nicht schon im GJ24E, zurückgegeben werden, und der Fähigkeit, potenziell Barmittel aus anderen nicht zum Kerngeschäft gehörenden Vermögenswerten wie Barrambie und Hannans zu realisieren, glauben wir, dass Neometals vollständig finanziert aussieht und möglicherweise keine Kapitalerhöhung benötigt. Am anderen Ende der Skala impliziert die Ankündigung vom 6. April 2023 einer Erhöhung der Beteiligung auf 22,5 % nach einer Investition von 3 Mio. A$ (wobei der JV-Partner Critical Metals nur 0,3 Mio. A$ investiert) eine Bewertung von etwa 7 Mio. A$/Us$Sm. Dieser Preis ist jedoch nicht besonders repräsentativ für den aktuellen Wert, da er ausschließlich auf der Mechanik einer Joint-Venture-Strukturstudie basiert, die nach der Gründung des Unternehmens veröffentlicht wurde. Wir glauben, dass eine wahrscheinliche niedrige Bewertung eher in der Größenordnung von 20 Mio. US$ für ein solch profitables und umweltfreundliches Unternehmen liegen würde. VRP1 könnte mit 102 Mio. US$ bewertet werden und immer noch eine unverschuldete Rendite von 15 % oder eine fremdfinanzierte Rendite von 20 % aus dem investierten Kapital erzielen, nicht aus dem Wert des Prozesses und der Anlage, wie in der Machbarkeitsstudie bewertet
