Die neu aufkommende generative KI braucht schätzungsweise das 20- bis 100-fache des bisherigen Stromverbrauchs. Ein speziell für generative KI gebautes Rechenzentrum benötigt eine Kapazität von mindestens 250 MW, während herkömmliche Rechenzentren im Durchschnitt lediglich über eine Kapazität von 10 MW verfügen.
