Ja vom Bouldercombe Battery Project

Die Tunnelbohrung am Pumpspeicherkraftwerk verzögern sich etwas da bei den Bohrungen auf eine fragile Gesteinsschicht , welche unter Wasserdruck steht gestoßen wurde. Diese soll nun umgangen werden, was auch mit höheren Kosten einher geht, welche aber anscheinend aus vorhandenem Budget entnommen werden können.

Na endlich geht es mal wieder in die richtige Richtung.

SYDNEY--An Australian company that wants to repurpose two abandoned gold pits in eastern Australia as a renewable-energy generator has become a takeover target for one of Japan's largest electricity producers. Genex Power said on Monday that it has a received a indicative bid proposal from Japan's Electric Power Development, known as J-Power, that values its equity at some 380.9 million Australian dollars (US$248.6 million). Genex said it has agreed to let J-Power scrutinize its books to determine whether it will formalize its offer of A$0.275 a share in cash. J-Power has also pitched a back-up offer to gain control of the company in the event that not enough of Genex's shareholders vote in favor of the bid. It is offering a slightly lower amount of A$0.270 in cash that is conditional on support from Genex shareholders owning at least 50.1% of stock. Genex is one of several companies around the world betting that they can revive interest in a century-old technology known as pumped-storage hydropower as a way for countries to reduce their reliance on coal.

Ich bin auch gespannt, hoffe die werden nicht übernommen. Wäre zu schade. Da sie mit Tesla zusammenstehen und ich rechne so gegen 2024-2025 mit Dividenden, wenn alles gut geht.

Das Übernahmeangebot wurde vom Board abgelehnt, weil es der Firma nicht gerecht wurde. Die Leitung ist aber noch in weiterführenden Gesprächen. Vielleicht kommt daher ein anderes, eventuell höheres Angebot. Wir werden es sehen. Ich für meinen Teil hoffe ja dass wir nicht übernommen werden und in ein paar Jahren hier regelmäßig schöne Dividenden gezahlt werden.

Übernahmeangebot zu 0,23$ pro Share. Von SEIF und Stonepeak, führte heute zu einem Preisanstieg um knapp 45% in Australien. Mal sehen wie sich Genex entscheidet.

Genex Power Limited (ASX: GNX) (Genex or the Company) is pleased to provide the following construction update for the 250MW Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project (K2-Hydro or the Project). . COMMENCEMENT OF UNDERGROUND WORKS – MAIN ACCESS TUNNEL During December 2021 and January 2022 (the Period) extensive works relating to the Main Access Tunnel (MAT) for the Project have been undertaken. The commencement of the MAT is ahead of the contract schedule and progressing well. The MAT makes up a 1.5km long horseshoe profile having dimensions of approximately 6m wide and 6m high. It is graded at 14% (1:7) in a spiral to access the powerhouse cavern which is approximately 250m below ground level. The powerhouse cavern will house the two 125MW Andritz Hydro reversible pump- turbines. The MAT is constructed using conventional full-face drill and blast excavation methodology, with a single heading taking approximately 6 months to reach the first adit which will provide first access to the powerhouse cavern. Once the first adit is reached, multiple tunnel headings will progress to expedite the powerhouse cavern excavation. With preparation works for the MAT completed in early 2022 including portal face stabilisation and preparation works, the EPC Contractor joint venture for the Project have formally commenced the underground excavation works with the first major blast for the MAT. Following this milestone, tunnelling operations are now progressing on a 24/7 basis with two shifts per day, which is scheduled to progress the tunnelling works at an average rate of 8m per day over the next 6 months.
