Thank you for your question (via Lars) and apologies for my much belated response.
It is a good question and a valid argument. It is important to remember that we are a decentralized organization, with our operative groups (and publishers) having a say on these decisions. There is always a balance between risk and reward as well as of course consumer preferences, both for single player and multiplayer games. I do see your point especially on multiplayer games of course.
For us, Epic Games is an important partner, with attractive terms (distribution fees) that also benefit the competitive landscape among distribution platforms. Ultimately, that also benefits players as game developers have more capital left to invest into new games and more content. An important factor is of course also that exclusivity is typically not more than 12 months, which enables a release on other platforms later. This has been quite successful for all parties historically, we think.

Lately we see the clear trend that even big publishers are returning to Steam. Be it Bethesda, Take-Two or most recently EA and Ubisoft. From this we can conclude that the large community that Steam offers relativizes the seemingly high costs. Does it make sense to continue releasing games exclusively on Epic? Especially regarding releases like Goat Simulator 3, which have the potential to develop hypes. Hypes that always exist on Steam, but when I think of Epic I can't think of any. Did they give away possible hype potential during the Holiday Season?

Nein das war meines Erachtens einen Tag später schon klar, da hatte ich irgendwo aufgeschnappt, dass es sich um 600 Mio Sek handelt und darum, dass Amazon die rechte "least."
Kann ja embracer jetzt nichts für wenn falsche Gerüchte gestreut werden.

Grundsätzlich gut, aber erstmal egal weil Umsatz erst irgendwann in paar Jahren gemacht wird. Und dann sogar eher schlecht weil es kein mega Deal mit Amazon ist wie ursprünglich gedacht.
