Alibaba and Foxconn the latest to charge into the electric vehicle world Jan. 13, 2021 1:33 PM ETAlibaba Group Holding Limited (BABA)By: Clark Schultz, SA News Editor5 Comments The news out of the electric vehicle world is as electrifying as ever, Alibaba (BABA +3.0%) is launching an electric sedan with wireless charging under a new brand formed together with state-owned SAIC Motor, according to Nikkei. The sedan unveiled under the brand name IM for "intelligence in motion" features a new solid-state battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology, China's largest battery maker and chips from Nvidia (NVDA +0.5%). The new EV will be able to park itself and has various smartphone functions. Preorders are expected to start in April during the annual Shanghai auto show. Alibaba is already an investor in XPeng (XPEV -6.3%). Also in the EV world, Taiwanese iPhone assembler Foxconn Technology Group (OTC:FXCOF) announced its own 50-50 joint venture with Zhejiang Geely (OTCPK:GELYF) to make cars for other companies. Geely is already working with Baidu (BIDU -0.6%) on EVs. The backdrop for EVs also has Apple (AAPL +1.6%) likely to look for more partners beyond Hyundai, General Motors (GM +1.7%) doubling down this week on its commercial electric van goals and Tesla (TSLA -1.4%) having a decent size head start on the whole lot.

Lasst sie ruhig delisting betreiben..ändert nichts an den Fundamentalen Daten der Firma..besseren Eintieg wird man in nächster Zeit mit Sicherheit nicht bekommen.

US banks to delist hundreds of HK-listed products under Trump rules Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley among groups reacting to executive order on China investment Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing said the delisting decisions were a ‘direct result’ of the US sanctions © Bloomberg January 11, 2021 4:09 am by Colby Smith in New York and Thomas Hale in Hong Kong JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are set to delist 500 structured products listed on Hong Kong’s stock exchange, as the fallout from President Donald Trump’s executive order barring investment in companies with alleged links to China’s military widens. During his final days in office, Mr Trump has sought to crack down on Beijing before Democratic president-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated later this month. In addition to banning the purchase of shares of dozens of Chinese companies believed to be tied to the People’s Liberation Army, the outgoing president has also moved to restrict transactions with Chinese payment applications including Alipay, WeChat Pay and Tencent’s QQ Wallet. The move by JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs follows a decision by MSCI on Friday to drop Chinese state-owned telecoms companies China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom from their closely followed stock benchmarks in order to avoid potential legal penalties stemming from the executive order, which is set to go into effect on January 11. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing said the decision to delist 500 structured products was a “direct result” of the US sanctions, adding that it would continue to monitor developments. “HKEX is working closely with the relevant issuers to ensure orderly delisting, and facilitate buyback arrangements being arranged by the issuers,” it said on Sunday. “We do not believe this will have a material adverse impact on Hong Kong’s structured products market, the largest in the world with over 12,000 listed products.” On Monday, the manager of the Tracker Fund of Hong Kong, the city's largest exchange-traded fund by assets, announced it would not make any new investments in a US sanctioned company. State Street Global Advisors said it was "no longer appropriate for US persons" to invest in the tracker fund, which closely follows Hong Kong’s Hang Sang index. The fund owns shares in the Hong Kong listings of China Mobile and China Unicom, which are among the sanctioned companies on the US blacklist. Last week the New York Stock Exchange confirmed that the two companies, along with China Telecom, would be delisted as a result of the sanctions. The Hang Seng index was up 0.8 per cent in morning trading.
