Cameco (NYSE:CCJ) +3.3% in Friday's trading as Janney initiates coverage with a Buy rating and $60 price target, believing the world's largest publicly traded uranium company is well positioned to generate strong EBITDA and free cash flow, and return cash to shareholders over the next several years as it capitalizes on a structurally undersupplied market amid increasing demand.
Janney's Thomas Meric thinks the supply and demand environment for U3O8 will grow more undersupplied over the coming quarters and years due to inventory drawdown, enrichment overfeeding, reactor life extensions or restarts, and newbuilds.
"What makes us bullish on CCJ is the relationship between these higher demand drivers and the magnitude of current uncovered requirements for reactor fuel," Meric writes, expecting that Cameco (CCJ), "as a global uranium mining leader with low-cost, high grade, highly reliable production, will capitalize on these fundamentals through a long-term, disciplined contracting strategy."
The analyst sees Westinghouse - 49% owned by Cameco (CCJ) - as the supplier for an outsized share of nuclear newbuild activity globally, and the AP1000 as "the most buildable design and the most likely design to FID in the U.S. in the near future."

Google CEO Eyes Atomic Power For AI Data Centers As Big Tech Seeks Nuclear Revival To Achieve Net Zero
Sachem Cove Partners Chief Investment Officer Michael Alkin told Bloomberg shortly after the Microsoft-Three Mile Island deal, "It's a wake-up call to those that have not been paying attention," adding that demand already outstrips the supply of uranium and the restart of Three Mile Island "takes that to a bit of a different level."

Ich verstehe nicht warum Cameco nicht so richtig durchstartet. Das ist noch immer viel zu zäh
