i. Customer interest spiked post-launch and have a good marketing, particularly with positive feedback on new features such as the in-car refrigerator and improved seats adjustment. Return visits from those who have previously seen the D9 are contributing to this growth.
ii. The launch of the Li Auto MEGA has increased overall traffic, yet customers do not mention to compare it to the D9 during store visits.
2. Customer Profile: The majority of customers are over 40, with business users constituting 60-70% of total customer

i. Family customers, about a decade younger than business customers, often have multiple children and occasional business needs. They prioritize passenger comfort, with the main concern being the absence of LiDAR.
ii. Business customers insist on a hybrid option and often request modifications, such as a ceiling-mounted screen. These customers reject BEV options to avoid any range anxiety.

a) Model Preference: PHEV models are preferred over BEVs at a ratio of 9:1.

Just like in auto, Japan Inc is blaming Chinese economy for its sales weakness
It should be attributed to China catching up to Japan in basic sciences, ChemEng, MechEng & EE. China has already chased Japan out of display business & close to doing so in shipbuilding
Japan' unprecedented semi sector sanctions in 2023 has simply propelled Chinese factories to move faster away from Japanese robotics supply chain. Could Chinese factories rely on Japanese robots or reducers if they might not be services in a few yrs? When Japanese govt agreed to semi sanctions, did it think abt knock on effect in other industries?
ofc Chinese robotic/automations firm will also gain mkt share in export mkts just like BYD is gaining share right now
This is Japan's de-industrialization. China has labor, land, tax, energy, infrastructure, supply chain & scale advantage vs Japan. Once China Inc gets large enough in an industry, it will not lose to Japan Inc.

Versteh den Text nicht, BYD sagt nicht das die Reichweite nach EPA gemessen wird und der Kollege kommt dann mit "overly optimistic" und bezieht sich genau auf die oben genannte Messmethode 🤷🏼♂️

Es ist typisch, die Abkehr von den amerikanischen Chipherstellern der chinesischen Regierung zuzuschieben und nicht den Autoherstellern, die sich aus der völlig unzuverlässigen amerikanischen Lieferkette zurückziehen müssen. Noch wichtiger ist, dass Byd und Geely an niedrigere Kosten durch vertikale Integration glauben. Warum teurere ausländische Chips kaufen?
