Benchmark to launch sustainable lithium carbonate pricing Benchmark will launch a Sustainable Lithium Carbonate, CIF Asia, spot price this month, in response to growing demand from the lithium ion battery supply chain for pricing which takes into account the sustainability credentials of the products under assessment. The newpricewill be assessed by Benchmark using primary data collected directly from active market participants, only considering transactions for material that originates from producers deemed by Benchmark to be Industry Leading, according to the Benchmark’sLithium Sustainability Index. Its flagship project is the Paradox Lithium Project located in the Paradox Basin, Utah. The project is at an advanced stage with test work completed. A Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) process will be used to extract the lithium from the mineral rich brine and then further purify using a commercialized process to produce either lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide monohydrate. The plan is to design and construct a production plant for lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). The Paradox Lithium Project is in the development stage for a large-scale production of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). Hier ein Kommentar zu Sunresin und das damit verbundenen China Risiko The question about Sunresin and any potential issues with them being Chinese came up at the recent AGM. Bruce advised that in funding discussions it has not been raised as an issue and confirmed over 90% of the project will be sourced in the USA with the resin being the main component coming from Sunresin, as well as installation and technical support which would include some sort of license/support fee I assume. Resin lasts 10 years based on 13k Li pa and I would guess they'll have it in stock once in operation. Sunresin has a $6.5Billion MC and already does a huge amount of business with the US, I really don't think there will be any issues with resin supply for the project and in the unlikely event that China and US stop trading with each other I think we'll have much more important things to worry about than our ASN investment So in my opinion it's a very low risk compared to all the other hurdles we still need to jump to get into production
