McDonald's China and Cainiao Group clinched a strategic cooperation agreement on supply chain digitalization. Pursuant to which, the two sides will start from the radio frequency identification (RFID) project, to promote the landing and implementation of Cainiao RFID solutions in the McDonald's supply chain, and jointly explore the supply chain digitization, automation and other aspects of cooperation. Taking the Internet of Things (IoT) as an example, McDonald's China will implant Cainiao RFID tags on food packages. In the RFID pilot project promoted by McDonald's China and Cainiao, the time required for daily inventory check in restaurants is reduced from 1 hour to 15 minutes, and the accuracy of inventory data is improved by 30%.
